Once again first class service with fast delivery and patient, helpful advice about the setting up of the Snowbee vice.
The vice is excellent and better value than I realised but the instructions are dire. The big suprise was that it came complete with a material spring and bobbin rest and that's where the guidance was needed as the instruction make no mention of these accessories.

HI LOVE TROUTCATCHERS HOWEVER, DELIVERY OF EIGHT DAYS FROM PURCHASE IS TOO LONG. ORDERED 7NOV DELIVERED 15.NOV. NOT GOOD, IT IS AFTER ALL JUST A LETTER.
FISHING FRIENDS SAY " TROUTCATCHERS IS OK THEY HAVE GOT THE STUFF WE WANT BUT WE AVOID THEM BECAUSE YOU NEVER KNOW WHEN YOU ARE GOING TO GET IT"
AS A RETIRED BUSINESS MAN PERHAPS YOU MAY WANT TO LOOK AT THIS ?

Your order was placed Saturday 7th Nov. You ordered the budget 2nd class service for your order. Posted Monday 9th November (first working day from weekend). Royal Mail quote circa 3 days to deliver. We are happy to provide proof of postage.
Unfortunately the service chosen we cannot guarantee delivery, only dispatch time. We do offer 1st class Royal Mail and Guaranteed next day, Signed For etc. services as you progress through the checkout if you are in a rush. We are also happy, upon request to quote you for any other bespoke service required.
Once again apologies for the delay with the Royal Mail service - we do have many thousands of reviews saying the service we provide is quick - but as with all post, we do have to rely on 3rd parties.

Nick at Troutcatchers bends over backward in trying to provide an excellent service. I alway shop online at Troutcatchers and i am disappointed when i have to shop elsewhere for something - for example genetic hackles. Hackles are generally of poor quality in the UK or there is no recommended match for hook size. I have not found anywhere that is really satisfactory and consequently now shop in the USA on the rare occasions I need hackles to suit.

Many thanks for the review Peter. Good point about Hackles, the industry is still trying to recover from the Hair Extension craze in the USA where all Genetic Hackles were wiped out!! We'll look in to better descriptions with our suppliers to help match up hook size etc.
Hope the website tips help improve the speed of connection as well.

Delivered in under 24 hours to Northern Ireland. Fantastic service. Added to that, the beginners package is exactly what I need to start off. The book is concise and logically laid out and the materials seem of reasonable quality. Won't know for a while, though. Should have bought the vice here too. Ordered one on ebay from a large dealer and have just been told, over a week later, it is actually not in stock. Should have bought from Troutcatchers.
