Super-friendly and very knowledgeable customer service - they really know their stuff.
The support was prompt and very transparent. They agree to make a special shipping arrangement for me, which is normally not done, so I am super grateful for this.
The shipment cost was rather high (i.e. 1/3 of the total cost), but I cannot complain, since it was a special arrangemnet.

In remote areas like ours you shouldn't promise a specific delivery date.Perhaps more co-ordination with the courier needed.
Package arrived without damage and well wrapped.
Very personal service -excellent.

Hello Lynn. Thanks very much for your lovely reviews. It's really difficult to NOT give customers a specific delivery day - most customers will insist on it - even in remote areas such as yours as people are often out at work (although less so at the moment due to Covid-19) and so they need to be given a delivery day when they know they will be at home. The problem with your delivery wasn't that you are in a remote area, it was that DX unfortunately routed the packages to the wrong delivery depot (quite some way from your area) so they had to re-route them to the correct depot the following night for delivery to you. It is very rare that this happens but we hope that our attention in chasing the matter kept you informed and we thank you for your understanding and pleasant manner in communicating with us.

Great product, good value for money. Customer service was friendly and helpful. Unfortunately had to pay extra for delivery specifically for it to be left in the downstairs of the block of flats which wasn’t the case, had to collect the item from a nearby car park as the driver couldn’t locate the exact address. Other than that great overall service.

Hello Ciara - thank you for your nice review. Just to clarify that the additional charge was for a specific time period delivery (rather than at the time that your address would be within the efficient routing of their other deliveries) as you advised the delivery company that you needed delivery after 5pm and they would not normally be in your area at that time. They were happy to accommodate your request but they do charge us extra for that service. We did send you an e-mail and had a telephone conversation with you regarding this. Thanks again.

Sofa was easy to assemble and looks as good as on the pictures. However, fabric has a distinctive smell... it's difficult to pinpoint what is it, smells like a mixture of dump fabric and something synthetic.
We are hoping that it will evaporate soon because at the moment it's quite overpowering.

Hello Alexandra. Thank you for your review. The fabric upholstered section of your Zeal Daybed will have been wrapped in plastic and cardboard for several weeks for transport from the Innovation factory and so it is not uncommon for there to be a degree of new furniture smell when it is unwrapped. We would fully expect any odour that is apparent after unwrapping the product to diminish in time and would suggest keeping the room in which it is located well ventilated during this period. Shipping took longer then expected but i understand init was cos of Covid.
Unfortunately the delivery was more than unpleasant.
Unfriendly and hardly said anything and were just giving me an attitude about the non working lift event i mentioned it before.
So that was a bit frustrating when you purchase something quiet expensive.
Overall very pleased with my sofa! Great quality but delivery i would reconsider.

Yes, you are quite right, the very slightly longer lead time to receiving your order was due to the Covid-19 health situation and is something that understandably was beyond our control. We are equally sorry to hear that the delivery chaps weren't as pleasant as we would expect them to be - this is most unlike them and we do wonder if they were concentrating their effort in social-distancing but we will mention your delivery at the next review with this particular delivery company. Hello Sharon. Thank you for your great review. The Zeal is a lovely model so we are glad that you are so pleased with it. The standard ground-floor delivery charge for the Zeal is £35 but as you required delivery to an upper floor this had to be a 2-person delivery so please be assured that we charged you only what the delivery company charge us.

Given that the sofa is made to order it was quite quick to arrive. It was easy enough to get into our upstairs flat the way it was flatpacked - nothing too heavy or bulky.
Putting the sofa together, however, was a bit of a nightmare and took much longer than the 30 minutes they claimed it would take - the instructions were very short, unclear with dark pictures on which it was hard to see what one was supposed to do.
I can't really comment on the customer service as I have not spoken to them.

We do actually offer upper floor deliveries across most of the UK so we do apologise if this wasn't made clear at the time of taking your order. Choosing an upper floor delivery does cost more and can take a little longer to arrange but if a customer doesn't have a delivery day deadline then this can be a good option for larger items. The totality of my order took a while to complete but I was impressed by the care and communication throughout.

A manufacturing fault with one of the sofa bed legs reflected a less than careful selection of screws at the time of build. This minor set back was remedied and a new leg section provided. I was surprised by this generous solution as a replacement set of screws would have sufficed!

The friendliness and helpfulness of all the Sitandsleep staff I have dealt with has been exemplary.

Although when I placed my order the item turned out to be just out of stock (no clear sign of this on the website), customer service was prompt to explain this and reassured me they would be able to deliver in a couple weeks' time. As soon as it got to their warehouse, they referred me to their excellent delivery partner, who handled everything swiftly and with prompt communication.

Chose Sit and Sleep as I had questions about the product and I wanted to talk to someone who understood it, including how exactly how it was packaged. They didn’t disappoint - so helpful and knowledgeable. The only downside for me was that shipping took a bit longer than I was expecting, even after the product came into stock, due to use of a specialist shipping company (who are also great). Would have been good to know a bit more about that up front. Would definitely buy from them again tho :).

The only problem was the inability to talk to someone directly during normal daily trading hours. We ended up two or three times leaving messages for each other on our respective answer phones which was a waste of everyone's time. Otherwise everything about the product, the delivery and the customer service was fine.

I love it- the only thing I would say is that a) the instruction for assembly is a bit minimal, it took a bit of guesswork, and if one of us hadn't been esp. handy with diy...we may have ended up having to call for extra help,
b) from the design photo I expected the back to stand up straighter, I'm disappointed that I 'slump'back some degrees too far on it when sitting down
on the whole very happy- sorry it took so long to answer.

Hello Heike. Thank you for your review and we're so glad that you love your new futon base. We'll have a look at how we can improve the assembly instructions. I think the Traditional still has some of the original assembly instructions that we created so we do agree that they are a little basic and due for an update.

Regarding your second point, I wonder if you have folded up the base completely because when it is completely folded up, in its seat position, the part that goes down behind the backrest should be completely vertical which would make the backrest a little more upright. We will give you a call to see if we can solve the issue for you.
