By the way I've just put water through my practise mute - fuck-wit actually: I was cleaning the lead pipe and forgot I'd left my practise mute ion the bell before emptying out. Like I said fuck-wit! And guess what it doesn't work so well.
I'm playing a couple of concertos in the autumn ( Covid permitting) and am looking for a mute that will be inaudible from a church if I'm warming up in the vicar's side room.
Which would you recommend?

I'm a very satisfied customer! I phoned Paxmans late on Thursday afternoon to ask advice on a new horn mouthpiece, I received good, helpful advice and placed an order online, and my new mouthpiece arrived in the post the following morning - in time for my lesson later that day!
