My sample swatches have a lovely hand. Worked on 3.25 & 3.5mm needles. Gauge worked out to 7.5 - 8.0 sts/inch. I'm looking forward to designing the next Fair Isle sweater. J&S always pleases, never disappoints.

Their Shetland supreme jumper weight wool which is undyed knits up beautifully. Having knitted 3 hats in it I decided to buy enough for a jumper, and it’s already looking stunning.

As always the service is excellent. I ordered 6 balls of the 2ply lace wool late on Wednesday and the parcel arrived Friday morning.
I haven’t used this wool before. It is lovely and soft ideal for the baby shawl I’m knitting.

I always enjoy buying yarn from Jamieson and Smith. Wonderful choice and assured quality. Having visited the store when in Shetland I imagine the staff wandering the vast shelves picking my items and making their judgement on my colour choices!
