Shipping was delayed due to one item in my order being out of stock, and I had to phone to enquire about it a couple of weeks after the purchase to find out the reason for the delay. It would have been helpful to have been notified of the delay, or to receive the rest of the order with the out of stock item sent on at a later stage.

I was looking for a mouthpiece that would give a fuller, richer character to the sound from my Yamaha horn, compared to the mouthpiece that was supplied with the horn. After taking Paxman’s advice I purchased their 4B mouthpiece and it has been a great success, achieving what I was seeking.

I am really happy with my new French Horn. It has beautiful tone and is a joy to play. The shopping experience was very easy. I didn't give shipping 5 stars as although shipping was very quick and packaging was outstanding, I wasn't sure what time of day the package was going to arrive which made things really difficult on the day.

Unfortunately, Paxman was unable to deliver the order, as the manufacturer is out of business. However, I would like to take the opportunity to note that my wife and I have purchased everything from Horn mouthpiece rims to my wife's Alex 103 and we have always been extremely happy with all the elements of each transaction. In this case I was promptly notified, the order was canceled, and my credit card refunded.

Except that I have a 103 so I really need the lever linkage oil with a metal spike.

I didn't say so at the time so not your fault but, if you have a bottle knocking around can I have one please.
