Shetland yarns are my favorites -- I much prefer a crisp yarn with character rather than the soft-spun yarns that bag out of shape upon wearing, and few yarns can match the color choices and blends that Shetland yarns boast. It's a pleasure to knit with J&S yarns and to wear garments made with it. I visited Lerwick many years ago and went home with three duffel bags of yarn. I'd like to do that again, but in lieu of a visit, it's great to be able to order straight from the company.

Jamieson & Smith produces exquisite yarns in delicious Island hues. I would give anything to return to Shetland to purchase more in person but their world class product is available anytime on their efficient website with immediate shipping.
